The business was started in 1969 by Eric Eadie, John Cookson and David Tomlinson. Spotting a gap in the market, they set out to create a successful business specialising in auto electrics. Their business began at our Deepdale site as a vehicle repair workshop. They soon realised that there was a demand for reconditioned electrical units within the industry. So, in 1974, Deepdale expanded it’s product range and began selling reconditioned starters, alternators and much more. Our Deepdale site specialises in this area to this day, amassing a wealth of knowledge and experience over the years.

Our Marsh Lane site opened in 1982. The aim here was to further expand our product range, branching out into almost every auto electrical area. Simultaneously, we were able to offer a wider range of services, from MOTs to specialist auto electrical repairs of all varieties. This site remains the focus of our stores department, with 1000’s of items in stock every day and a huge range of workshop services available, including heating and air conditioning fitting and repairs, tachograph services, vehicle diagnostics and mechanical and electrical repairs.

Now, both sites still thrive and have expanded to include a fleet of 23 vans, offering delivery and repair services across the north of England. Our staff of 50 employees includes specialists in all areas of auto electrics.

Our business was founded upon excellent customer service and comprehensive product knowledge. Still holding these values at the core of our business we continue to offer a reliable service to thousands of customers and work closely with our suppliers to offer the best prices and services available.
